It's a waste of time to even have a discussion about 'gun control'.
I guess it's easy for politicians to get themselves elected and re-elected by authoring legislation that NOBODY will read and enacting laws that NOBODY will obey, in doing so creating the illusion that they're actually accomplishing something.
The fact of the matter is, suburbanites (mostly white males) are the only people left who still care about 'gun control'. Everybody else already has their gun of choice.

 

What if at some in the future... The Government begins making laws that prohibit free speech ( more so then they already do), or the say these Religions are APPROVED. or that the police can enter your home unannounced anytime they desire, or that parents of children who get molested and murdered can have 20 minutes alone with the scum bag and face no charges...

Would you have any problems with any of that?

Well let's see here... Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Idaho, Wyoming to name a few. I believe North and South Dakota, Texas.... Hell here in Bama, walk in the door, lay down the cash, 10 mins to fill out FFL form, phone call to NICS takes at most 15 mins usually... If you are approved u leave with your gun... Handgun, Rifle, Scatter gun... All the same... At lost the entire process takes 30 minutes. I've been delayed Twice over the last few years... Once when I bought 2 handguns at the same time...(FFL's have to submit a certain form to the ATF in such cases, an anti-gun running thing or something like that)... And another time just after a moved i think that delay was because the system had not updated my new address and things didn't match... The FFL called me on the way home to tell me that they received the approval about 15 minutes after I walked out the door... Picked it up the next day.

 

It is said... I actually believe it's an urban legend... That there were discussions about the invasion of the US Mainland by the Japanese after they bombed Pearl Harbor... Admiral Yamamoto (the guy that planned the attack) had gone to school here... I believe Harvard if I'm not mistaken.. It is said he advised against such a move because... (Here's the myth).. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass... Now I don't believe he actually said that... But at the heart of it... It's true..

nice to know, here in NM takes avg of 3 days, dealer calls it in , gets put on hold fof 10 mins or so the Nm comes back and says on hold
ends up about 3 days..

Don't you just hate it when you have to wait 3 days to buy a gun so you can go shoot someone? Damned gubment.
